The Strike Industries Slide Adapter Plate (SAP™) allows you to use a GEN3 slide on a GEN4 or GEN5 frame with flush fitment when using the SI Mass Driver Comp (MDC). Naturally, a GLOCK™ factory or aftermarket GEN3 slide will fit and function on a GEN4 frame, but there are a couple of issues with that.
First is the ugly gap and the second is the flex in the frame it could cause. Install the SAP in seconds and prevent any movement of the GEN3 recoil spring assembly from potentially damaging your GLOCK™ GEN4/5 frame.
Due to the abundance of aftermarket GEN3 slide options, Strike Industries wants to make sure you are not restricted by fitment and be able to fully customize your pistol. *When using a GEN3 slide, the rear plate of the slide will need to be changed to a OEM GEN5 plate or the SI PolyFelx plate which is GEN5 based*
FOR GEN5 FRAME TO GEN3 SLIDE CONVERSIONS PLEASE NOTE: *Installation by a gunsmith is required. *For full size frame users you'll need to look into what combination of Generation barrels and recoil spring assemblies for reliable functionality. *Compact size frame users will not have this issue has the parts, slides, and barrel work interchangeably. *Gen4 Frame to Gen3 Slide Conversions will not have this issue.
