Darien Lin was a close friend of Strike—someone whose kindness, intelligence, and genuine spirit left a lasting impression on everyone who had the privilege of knowing him. At just 20 years old, Darien was a Computer Science student at Cal Poly Pomona and an incoming Software Engineering intern at Fincons Group. He was the kind of person who brightened every room with his smile and positive energy.

On February 6th, Darien’s life was tragically cut short as a passenger in a car accident. His loss has deeply affected his family, friends, and our team here at Strike. He was a beloved son, a protective older brother to two younger siblings, and a friend whose presence brought joy to so many.

In his memory, we want to support the mission carried forward by The Darien Lin Foundation, created by his family to promote safe and responsible driving. Through education and community outreach, the foundation works to raise awareness about the dangers of distracted, impaired, and reckless driving—reminding all of us how important every decision on the road truly is.

This holiday season, we’re including a free emergency kit with every order as a small way to honor Darien and help keep our community prepared. Our hope is that these kits serve not only as practical tools, but also as gentle reminders to stay alert, make thoughtful choices, and look out for one another.
