Strike Industries Updates California Shipping Policy in Response to AB 1263
Dear Valued Customer,
Strike Industries asks that you carefully review our updated shipping and sales policy for the State of California following the passage of California Assembly Bill 1263 (AB 1263). This legislation expands regulatory requirements, civil liability standards, and compliance obligations related to firearm accessories and firearm manufacturing-related products.
Policy Update – Effective Immediately
Strike Industries will no longer ship certain restricted firearm-related products to California or to California residents where compliance with AB 1263 cannot be reasonably ensured.
This policy change reflects Strike Industries’ ongoing commitment to responsible business practices, adherence to applicable law, and the safety of our customers and partners.
Why This Change Is Necessary
AB 1263 significantly broadens the legal landscape governing the distribution and facilitation of firearm accessories, firearm components, and related equipment. The legislation introduces expanded definitions and heightened liability standards that affect manufacturers, distributors, and retailers.
Following a comprehensive legal and compliance review, Strike Industries has determined that restricting shipment of certain products into California is necessary to mitigate legal risk and ensure continued alignment with the new statutory requirements.
- Mitigate legal and civil liability exposure
- Ensure compliance with newly enacted statutory requirements
- Protect the long-term viability of our business operations
Our Commitment to Responsible Distribution
Strike Industries has always prioritized the lawful distribution of our products and responsible engagement with the communities we serve. While we continue to value our California customers, the expanded scope of AB 1263—particularly regarding accessory distribution and facilitation liability—requires us to adjust our operations accordingly.
These changes are not taken lightly and are implemented to ensure compliance while maintaining the integrity of our business.
Regarding Other Retailers
Other distributors and retailers may adopt different compliance frameworks. Depending on their product mix, business models, and internal controls, some retailers may continue to offer certain products to California customers.
Strike Industries’ decision reflects its own legal analysis and risk assessment. Customers are encouraged to contact retailers directly to understand their respective policies.
Ongoing Review and Updates
Strike Industries will continue to monitor legislative and regulatory developments related to AB 1263 and will reassess its California shipping policies should future guidance, rulemaking, or statutory changes allow for a compliant resumption of service.
Customers are encouraged to review the Strike Industries website for the most up-to-date information regarding product availability and state-specific restrictions.
Thank you for your understanding and continued support.
